Wireless Open Water Logger for Ocean Sampling

Creare, LLC helps enable large-scale opportunistic ocean temperature and depth sampling.

The Technology

GeoCollaborate is a software application that permits users to access and view trusted online data and to collaborate in real-time in order to improve situational awareness and decision-making.

The technology works across any device with internet access and is not dependent on the user’s location. GeoCollaborate does not replace websites, portals, or hubs, but rather turbocharges them for better access and use.

Users collaborate through online interactive maps, GIS platforms, or Common Operating Pictures. The application has no internet bandwidth requirements and nothing is downloaded.

An example scenario for use is when a leader or subject matter expert needs to quickly identify relevant data during a crisis and share it with a large number of users.

The software was initially developed using SBIR funds (NASA, Phase I 2011, Phase II 2012).
