Supporting Atmospheric Research & Expanding Observations from Platforms of Opportunity

There are significant gaps in observations and process-level understanding of the nature and effects of aerosols and other substances in the atmosphere, with special challenges to observations in the stratosphere. During the multi-year partnership NOAA GML, NOAA CSL, and SilverLining will collaborate on atmospheric field observations, atmospheric modeling, laboratory studies and instrument development related to aerosols, greenhouse gasses, and reactive gasses in the stratosphere.
